L.E.A.P. Information for Employers
WHAT IS CUSTOMIZED EMPLOYMENT?
Customized Employment is a flexible process designed to personalize the employment relationship between a job candidate and an employer in a way that meets the needs of both. It is based on an individualized match between the strengths, talents, and interests of a job candidate and the identified business needs of an employer. Customized Employment utilizes an individualized approach to employment planning and job development–one person at a time . . . one employer at a time.
SIX PHASES OF EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT

1. Discovery
With the job seeker, we learn about their strengths, skills, talents and abilities. We support them to develop and recognize their Ideal Conditions of Employment.

2. Job Development
L.E.A.P. supports the job seeker to match their Ideal Conditions of Employment with suitable jobs in the community. We meet with potential employers, discuss potential job duties and support the job seeker in the interview process.

2. Job Coaching
We provide highly skilled job coaches to support the employer and employee to ensure success on the job. Our support continues as long as needed.

4. Fading
With the employer’s assistance, we will develop a transition plan to effectively fade support. L.E.A.P. will still be involved as needed.

5. Monitoring
We will continue to monitor the employee’s progress through surveys, calls, emails and site visits for as long as necessary to ensure any changes or problems are addressed.

6. Ongoing Support
If a change in job duties, management, or any challenges occur, L.E.A.P. is there to support the employee and employer.
